I will never be able to manage my emotions and feel who I am again.

The flow of emotions allows you to experience positive emotions again. It is normal to experience more anxious periods. Now that you are doing this program, you are taking the necessary actions to deal with situations as they arise.

I think it's best to avoid talking about emotions, it will only make my case worse.

Imagine you are holding a beach ball underwater. Even though the ball weighs only a few grams, you:

  • will be tired with time
  • be stuck in the same position, with little freedom of movement
  • lose your grip on the ball
  • receive the ball in the face.

By naming emotions honestly, you increase your control over them.

It's because of my kids, my job, all this anxiety. If I was alone, I wouldn't have so much anxiety.

Remember the last time you felt anxiety free. 0 anxiety. Never...

It's unlikely that you would have experienced a prolonged moment without anxiety. You wouldn't be here to read, because you would never have dared to try to learn to read. The intensity may have been less, less frequent, but you still experienced it. At least before sports, an oral presentation, etc.

Remember, the fun of a game is to do it to the best of your ability within the rules and constraints. Choose your playing field and include some of your rules, not forgetting that kids, work... they have their own rules too. It's a matter of compromise where everyone wins.

I am anxious

You are not anxious. You are experiencing anxiety and we are very happy, because this means that you are indeed a human being who cares about himself/herself and the other! 🙂

I have too much anxiety, I will cancel my workout, my trip to the grocery store and even my work day

Occupation is a perfect "flush" for the mind. If you really want to deal with anxiety, keep yourself busy in an activity that is meaningful to you. Make choices.

I have panic attacks

Anxiety causes panic attacks. However, panic attacks have a beginning and an end and are very intense. Most people have a perception of impending death.
